Harvey (1950)

I am a huge fan of Jimmy Stewart. Actually, quite a new addition to my bucket list is to see every single one of his movies. I received Harvey for Christmas. I was so excited to see a James Stewart movie that I hadn't seen. I watched it for the first time last night, and I was quite pleased! I definitely felt like it was WAY ahead of it's time. Certain angles and shots, quotes, and just pretty much the entire premise of the movie seemed very modern, but it had the classic and family friendly atmosphere of most old movies that I love and enjoy. This was the first of 10 classic movies of 2012, and I was very impressed!

My favorite character was Elwood's (Stewart) sister, Veta Simmons, played by Josephine Hull. She was so over the top, it made for a lot of laughs.

I would most certainly recommend Harvey  to anyone. If you like old movies, or just good, clean comedies, you should watch it.
