10 Books Completed.
Today I accomplished one of my 2012 goals...to read 10 books. That doesn't sound like much, but I finished it before April is even complete! Pretty proud today.

I cannot believe it is almost time for me to graduate! In the fall of 2010, it felt like this time would never come. The past two years have had plenty of ups and downs. There have been times I didn't think I'd make it...I have wanted to give up so many times! But I always stayed with it, and now I am so glad I did. I only have two more weeks of college...ever. That's a bit mind blowing.

It hurts to hold on to something for so long that it feels real when it isn't. I was tired of asking myself "what if?" all the time. I don't understand why some people get happiness and others just get hurt, but I know there must be a reason. It's hard to let go, but knowing the feeling isn't mutual makes it a little easier.

Picture Frame Redo.
I was off from work and school today, and feeling just a little bit crafty. I've had this ugly picture frame for a while, hidden in my chest of drawers. This project was easy, quick, and best of all free! All I used was the original frame, the bottle of ModPodge we already had, an atlas, and scrabble letters. I took the old frame and covered it in modpodge. Next, took the frame, turned it upside down on the state of choice (Colorado), and used a knife to cut around the edges of the frame. Then, I took the scrabble letters that spell Travel, and modpodge(d)? them to the bottom center of the frame to produce this:

Percy Jackson by Rick Riordan
I finished my first book of 2012! Yes, it's a children's book, and nope, I don't care. But anyway, it was good! Parts seemed pretty far fetched, but that's what makes it good fiction, right? I am not sure I will finish the complete series by Riordan, but I found the first book interesting, exciting, and relate-able. The book was written in first person, which really makes it interactive and allows the reader to feel the feelings and emotions the main character, obviously in this case, Perseus Jackson felt. I saw the movie last year, and now I definitely want to see it again.
I have started another book, this time a Christian romance novel (I'm a sucker for these, so what if it's embarrassing?) Love on the Line by Deanne Gist. We'll see how long it takes me to read this one!
